Discover the Series: A Hadi Twins Adventure

A Ten-Part Historical Fiction Adventure for Middle-Grade Readers (Ages 8–12)

The Hadi Twins Adventure Series follows four British-Yemeni-Moroccan siblings — Aisha and Umar (12), Ali (9), and Fatima (5) — whose lives change forever when they discover an ancient artefact hidden in their grandfather’s attic. The object becomes a portal through time, transporting them to the luminous lands of Yemen and beyond, where they encounter the saints, scholars, and seekers who carried the spiritual light of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ across generations.

Blending thrilling adventure with authentic Islamic history, the series opens young readers’ hearts to the moral courage, faith, and wisdom of the Awliya of Hadramawt — showing that heroism lies not only in battles and quests, but in truth, sincerity, and service to others.

Book One: Imam Ahmad and The Bandits

When 12-year-old twins Aisha and Umar move to their grandfather’s countryside home with their younger siblings, Ali and Fatima, they expect dusty books and long, boring days. Instead, they uncover a mysterious white turban hidden in the attic. One that transports them across time and space. When Fatima vanishes and the turban is found lying in her place, the siblings are pulled into a wild journey across time to the sacred valley of Hadramawt, Yemen. With their youngest sister captured by bandits and the turban, their only way home, at risk, Aisha and Umar must outwit the bandits without losing either. But can they rescue Fatima and protect the turban before it's too late? Inspired by real figures from Islamic history, this gripping adventure blends time-travel, moral courage, and the blessings of saints in a thrilling journey that will leave readers eager for the next portal to open.

Imam Ahmad and the Bandits is a bridge between young hearts and the luminous legacy of the saints of Islam. Through adventure and wonder, it rekindles in children a love for the righteous, reminding them that courage, truthfulness, and faith are timeless treasures. Books like this are vital in our age — they help our children see that the heroes worth admiring are those who lived for Allah.

Imam Ahmad and the Bandits. SubhanaAllah, this book is really one of a kind. Anisa Rasul so brilliantly weaved together the excitement of adventure with deep and profound lessons found in Islam. While cleverly presenting the story in the modern setting of today, she beautifully rested it on the hands of the saints of Islam, which I truly feel will incite deep interest in our children to get to know the pious and their path of righteousness. I myself felt love for the righteous increase in my heart while reading it and really can't wait for our children to get their hands on it! Definitely looking forward to the next book!

I loved the book so much! Every time I got to the end of the chapter I couldn't wait to hear what was going to happen next! It was so exciting how whenever the kids put on the magic turban they went into another world

As an experienced primary school teacher and mother of 3, I found this book to be a rare and deeply enriching gem in Islamic children’s literature. The story of the four siblings — filled with adventure, courage, and timeless lessons — beautifully weaves faith, history, and moral growth in a way that captures young hearts and minds. The theme of truth triumphing over falsehood, set against the backdrop of meeting the awliya and the living golden chain of scholars in Yemen, makes this more than just a story — it’s tarbiya wrapped in imagination. This is exactly the kind of faith-filled, values-driven storytelling our children have been missing.
